Disability Resource Center: Loan Locker Program
At the Disability Resource Center, we are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the mobility aids they need to live a full and independent life. Our Loan Locker program is designed to support individuals who are facing temporary or long-term mobility challenges by providing access to a wide range of mobility aids.
Available Equipment
We offer a variety of equipment to meet your needs, including but not limited to:
- Bath Chairs: Enhance your safety and independence in the bathroom with our sturdy and comfortable bath chairs.
- Canes: Choose from a selection of canes to assist with your mobility and balance.
- Crutches: We offer adjustable crutches for short-term injuries or recovery periods.
- Wheelchairs: Available in different sizes and styles to ensure a comfortable fit and improved mobility.
- Walkers: We provide walkers with and without wheels to assist with stability and movement.
How It Works
Our Loan Locker program is simple and user-friendly. Here’s how you can access our services:
- Contact Us: Reach out to us at 850-769-6890 ext. 304 to discuss your need.
- Schedule a Consumer Intake: Once we have the appropriate intake information, documentation, and approval, you can pick up the equipment.
- Use It for as Long as You Need: Our goal is to support you. However, we will schedule a date of return, following up with your mobility limitations.
- Return: When you no longer need to borrow the equipment, please schedule a time to bring it back to our office.
Who Can Benefit?
Our Loan Locker is open to anyone in the community who requires mobility assistance, whether due to an injury, surgery recovery, or long-term mobility challenges. We strive to accommodate all needs and do not require a doctor’s referral.
